Being #forNewHaven means that we are committed to our community. Part of this commitment involves providing a welcoming space for people to gather.
We’re searching for some volunteers who would donate their time to help pull weeds around our building and join our mowing team. This is an excellent activity for families or for people who enjoy spending time outside in the sunshine!
If you don’t have gloves or tools, don’t worry! We can provide these to help make weeding a bit easier. Also, we have all the tools needed for mowing, too!
Select Your Section to Pull Weeds
We’ve split up the properties into different areas that need to be weeded. The map is color-coded to help differentiate the difficulty of each area.
The green sections are the easiest areas. These will likely require around 2 hours of weeding each month and can be handled by 1 volunteer.
The yellow sections are at a medium difficulty. These areas would likely require about 45 minutes of weeding each week and can be handled by 1-2 volunteers.
The orange sections are the most challenging areas. These would likely require around 1 hour of weeding each week and would be best suited for 2 volunteers.
These times and difficulties are estimations. Our Facilities Manager, Kent Hills, will reach out to talk with you in more detail!
