6 Bible Verses to Read When You’re at Work

By Chuck Fenwick

Be An Example of Jesus in Every Aspect of Your Life

Whether you work at an office, in a more physical job, at home, or are a stay at home parent, the days can feel long. Sometimes you fall into the monotony of the everyday routine. Wake up, brush teeth, get dressed, work, sleep, repeat.

But even if you’re not working in a church or a “religious” job, you’re still an example of Jesus to everyone you encounter. You’re showing your coworkers what it means to be a follower of Christ. You’re an example to your work friends of what it means to love Jesus and others around you. And you’re showing your boss what it’s like to strive for greatness in all that you do, because that’s what Jesus would do, too.

So when you’re caught in the slump of everyday life, pull out these verses! Remember that the work you do can be a way of connecting with God each day. The way you handle yourself and your work is a reflection of the relationship you have with Jesus. You’ve got this!
